Mum and dad came to my observation when Thomas was 2 years and 7 months old.

He has been followed for about 6 months by the Autism Centre to which he arrived via the paediatrician following a big scene during a control outpatient visit. A rapid autism test was prescribed and performed, followed by referral to the child neuropsychiatrist, with subsequent referral to the Autism Centre to arrive at a diagnosis of Pervasive Development Disorder. On the basis of Law 104 the family was advised to place the child ‘out of time’ at the nursery with support on the precise indication of the Centre's child neuropsychiatrist, accompanied by a psychomotricity course.
