A very rich issue the one you have in your hands, or on your screen, which comes to publication shortly after the death of Pier Francesco Galli, a highly esteemed colleague who was also appreciated as the founder of one of the most authoritative Italian journals in our field. His last book 'Seventy Years in and around Psychoanalysis' is a testimony to the richness and capacity for cultural stimulation that he managed to exercise during his long professional and scientific life. The commentary by Pietro Pellegrini that we publish constitutes a tribute and a greeting.
