In this article the author tries to illustrate the concept of drug-induced dissociation with the help of a clinical case. Through Elisa's case the effects of this dissociative process can be observed at all levels. The action of this psychopathological process produces changes in psychological functioning, personality and physical appearance, which divide psychic life and the course of events into watertight compartments? In this case one can lose the perception of one's life as a unitary process. In this case, the therapeutic objective is to contact and unite these parts. The author wants to underline above all the strength of the pre-transferential dynamics that push the clinician to act, reducing his ability, and possibility, to think.
