The model of complex dynamic systems and the paradigm of complexity offer interesting insights into the theoretical and practical assumptions of psychoanalysis. In this article we focus in particular on the topic of the non-linearity of living systems, understood as overcoming the deterministic, unifactorial and predictable model of reality. Through Alessandro's clinical case study, interesting insights are drawn on the theme of diagnosis, psychoanalytic theory and mental attitude that can help us to go beyond the limits of the linear model.
