The first part of this work highlights some elements of confluence between Freud and Bucci identified in the construct of the Referential Activity and in the presence of multiple codes. The analysis then moves on the role of language, both in Freud and Bucci, and the relation that it develops with self-reflection. It is suggested a reading that, combining cognitive science and psychoanalysis, enhances the Referential Activity by considering it the driving force of self-reflection.
