Na Young and Hae Sung, two deeply connected childhood friends, are separated when Na Young’s family emigrates from South Korea to Canada. Two decades later, they reunite in New York, where Na Young now lives with her American husband, Arthur, for a pivotal week in which they confront questions of fate, love, and the choices that have shaped—and continue to shape—the course of their lives.
