We read with interest the case of our colleague, Dr Montali, whom we thank for her availability and generosity. This article gives us the opportunity to share some theoretical reflections, pointing out that they are the fruit of our clinical experience as child therapists, specifically trained in working with children and their families within the Italian Society of Psychoanalysis of Relationships, Milan Centre.
