Negli ultimi decenni il brillante dibattito italiano su Eugen Ehrlich ha riguardato il suo antiformalismo e la sua critica a Karl Marx e Anton Menger. In particolare, l'antiformalismo di Eugen è stato discusso attraverso l'analisi della dura disputa tra Ehrlich e Hans Kelsen, incentrata anche su fondamentali questioni epistemologiche.
